Mission Indians Ancient
If we look back today at the mission in the first centuries, we have gewööhnt to the success and expansion, for we see the result at which we are ourselves. The gospel came to us. Great. But what it was like really? We often know little about the competition, with the standing of Christianity. As there was no vacuum, religiosity was not only good form, but it was part of the world view. And religion was very much alive, she was a power. With the ancient gods combined to power that influence the people could and wanted. The otherworldly powers handed down to enter this world, condensed in those gods whose names are now only asking crossword puzzles, such as the Roman war god Mars, or the love goddess Venus. At both can be right here just show how you understand the impact. If someone is "in love", then he has come under the influence of the goddess. Or if someone gets into heated argument with others, then he may have fallen under the influence of Mars. Thus, the world seemed full of powers that sought to influence people.
And apparently so was Jesus Christ the Lord who kept the powers and broke their power! The Christians saw him as a great liberator, who has given them with his Holy Spirit power.
