For my next band Kirchengescichte I have just the book by Philip Jenkins: The Next Christendom. The Coming of Global Christianity (in ger published by Fountain: The Future of Christianity) is read. While we took up Christianity's retreat, churches are emptying and services are rarely visited, the outcome looks very different world. An exciting book with many incredible statistics (ok, ok - I know the saying about their credibility). Jenkins shows that Christianity in the years moved further and further south. And with this southward migration, it will change. Our view of church and world - as we have since the Enlightenment, is simply not the world view, but only usnere European-American. In the south, because many things are different, surprisingly different. I am very happy that I finally read the book ...
For relaxation I am reading in the breath of a moment of Amy Wallace, exciting novel by Francke. Super written and just the right by for the Sunday workday distractions.
